Former Virginia Tech quarterback Jim Druckenmiller is facing five years to life in prison for allegedly raping a young woman in Blacksburg, back in March.
Today he spoke with reporters in Santa Clara, California where he was practicing with the San Francisco 49-ers.

Forty-seven-year-old Frederick Morris Robinson was killed from a shotgun blast to the chest this morning at his Taylor Street home.
He was the father of two and an employee of the Danville City Schools.

A Canadian train carrying about 180 passengers and eight crew members derailed today in southwestern Ontario -- killing at least two rail workers and injuring about 100.

Allison Beightol, the former Cave Spring athlete who is now at Randolph-Macon was named an outstanding sportsperson of the year yesterday by the NCAA.
