The judge in the Bland Prison Drug conspiracy case today scoffed at the lead defendant's claim, that he was only POSING as a drug dealer in order to gather information for authorities.
Federal Judge Jackson Kiser said if the tale is true, Inmate Michael Fulcher was "on his own ticket without any government supervision."

Food and Drug Administration officials warn the drug is specifically for the seriously obese. The F-D-A does not suggest it should be used by casual dieters who just want to shed five or ten pounds. Orlistat's approval was delayed because some questioned whether the new diet pill might contribute to breast cancer. The F-D-A ultimately decided the pill was safe.
