He proclaimed his innocence outside the Montgomery County courthouse, following his release on a 10-thousand dollar secured bond.

A short time later, Druckenmiller entered a NOT guilty plea and bond was set at 10-thousand dollars.
The football star, who now plays for the San Francisco 49-ers, is accused of raping a Virginia Tech student while in town visiting friends nearly two months ago.
The two apparently met at a bar in downtown Blacksburg.
Druckenmiller does admit the pair had sex but says it was consensual and that the young woman had been aggressively pursing him throughout the evening.

Now, a trial date has been set for July 19th.

A domestic argument led to police gunfire this afternoon.

Police in Danville say as two officers helped a woman out of her home, her husband rammed a pipe through a nearby window.
Officers thought the pipe was a shotgun, so they fired into the house.
No one one was shot, but one officer was injured by flying glass. He was treated on the scene and released.
As for the husband, he's now in custody.
Police won't release his name until he's charged.

At a public hearing last August, county supervisors okayed the plan despite overwhelming opposition from the planning commission and lake residents.
