Investigators looking into the Columbine high school massacre.. are now pursuing hundreds of leads.

This, as evidence points to the likelihood that more people were involved in the attack.
Sources say one of the bombs found in the school was too sophisticated for the young gunmen to build themselves.
Authorities also confirm an 18-year old student bought three of the guns used by the killers.
However, police say she is not a suspect.. and neither are three teens questioned shortly after the shootings.
Yesterday students marched some five miles in show of solidarity and support, trying to forgive and ease their pain.

Eight days after the massacre at Columbine, a shooting at a school in Canada has left one person dead and another wounded.

Students at the high school in Alberta are crediting their gym teacher with stopping the teen gunman who shot two of their classmates.
Several students say the gym teacher tackled the shooter and took the gun from his hand.
The gunman was reportedly wearing a blue trenchcoat.
Students identify him as a 9th grade student who dropped out and was being home schooled.
It was the first fatal shooting at a Canadian high school in 20 years.

He did not appeal his death sentence or seek clemency from Governor Gilmore.
Payne bludgeoned two Richmond area women to death in 1997, and ended his spree by attacking a mother and her 8-year-old son with a hammer.
Virginia is scheduled to carry out another execution tonight - Pittsylvania County killer Ronald Dale Yeatts is slated to die then.

A man was stabbed to death in a Roanoke motel last night.
Police say 46-year-old Ronald Gene Durham was stabbed at least once in the chest around six at the Towne Motel on Williamson Road.
He died around 7-45.
Durham's wife Dorothy is currently charged with malicious wounding in connection with the incident.
But police expect the charge to be upgraded to murder sometime later today.

As he left the ice, Express fans taunted Brophy, and he responded. When a couple of security officers tried to get Brophy to leave the arena, he shoved them.
Brophy managed to avoid making a personal appearance in court yesterday, but his lawyer entered a guilty plea to one count of assault and battery.
Brophy will pay a 1-thousand dollar fine.

She is charged with reckless driving and obstruction of justice.
Last November, Akers was parked on the wrong side of the road when Roanoke County officer Russell Metcalf approached her car.

The Franklin County supervisors may have illegally approved plans for a new condominium complex at Smith Mountain Lake.

Lake residents Jim Dinwiddie and Allen Wilcox are suing the county.
They say developer Ed Water's condo complex is too big and too commercial for the property next to Hales Ford Bridge.
It includes 96 units plus a restaurant, convention center and boat slips.

Despite significant opposition from lake residents and the planning commission, county supervisors approved the complex last August.
They say special use permits make it legal.
The judge says he will rule on the case later.

The rape case against Jim Druckenmiller will go to trial on July 19-th.
Druckenmiller turned himself in to Montgomery County authorities yesterday morning.
He entered a NOT guilty plea and is now free on bond.

Roanoke County will pay 45-thousand dollars to settle a lawsuit filed by a 77-year old pepper spray victim.
Goldie Akers sued the county to pay for her injuries.
