Pittsylvania County deputies arrested 18-year-old Robert Desaay ("Duh-SAY") Davis in connection with the bomb threat. It was called in from a payphone inside the school early yesterday morning.

Davis is being held without bond at the Pittsylvania County Jail. Police say they expect to arrest two other students in connection with the same bomb threat.

In Roanoke a seventh- grader was arrested for an incident that prompted officials to evacuate Woodrow Wilson Middle school on Monday.
The 13-year old student is charged with placing a device in the boys room that may have been designed to look like a bomb.
It was actually a couple of batteries wrapped in duct tape.
The arrest was made Wednesday, based on information provided by other students at Woodrow Wilson.

School administrators are getting an earful from parents and students worried about rumors of school violence.
Roanoke County school officials heard the concerns at last night's school board meeting.
One way Roanoke County schools are fighting the fear is by posting a police officer in each high school and junior high school beginning today.

Ronald Yeatts was executed last night.
He robbed and killed an elderly Pittsylvania County widow in 1989.
Yeatts didn't make a final statement before his execution.
Hours earlier, Governor Gilmore denied clemency and the Supreme Court turned down a final appeal and stay request.

The man charged with killing an Oregon park ranger and wounding another has a tie to Roanoke.
The two rangers were checking a restroom at a state park earlier this week when Larry Gene Cole allegedly shot and robbed them.
Cole spent eight years in prison for kidnapping a Roanoke real estate agent 25 years ago.
