The Express is hoping the home ice advantage is highly overrated, because they now know Richmond goalie Maxine Gingras is not.
Steve Mason has more as game three with Richmond approaches.

((STEVE MASON:)) ((MIKE PERON/EXPRESS CENTER:)) ((Even though Renegades star center Ryan Kraft lost some blood during the first of two games in Roanoke, it is the Express that desperately needs an offensive transfusion. Roanoke has scored just two goals in two games, despite 78 shots. ((:)) ((:)) Maxime Gingras has been one main reason for the Express scoring drout. Since game two, Scott Gordon, a former goalie himself, has spent considerable practice time going over how tot beat the 21 year old phenom. ((:)) ((:))
Monday afternoon, Gordon also announced that Dave Gagnon will start in net for the Express Wednesday night in Richmond. At the Round House, Steve Mason, News 7 sports.))

Also this afternoon, Mayor David Bowers awarded the team a proclamation commending the coaches and players for, among other things, reaching the third round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the first time. Each player was given a patch with a star on it. The team was also recognized for it's citizenship off the ice.
