The student allegedly wrote "bomb threat" on note cards left in the school.

The 40 year old former marine was burned alive and later decapitated by two white men at a drinking party in Grayson County almost two years ago.
The U-S Justice Department announced today the conclusion of its investigation. Federal offficials say it would ha
ve been difficult to prove Johnson's civil rights were violated because he was killed on private property not--- for in

stance while he was at work or in school.
None the less, the justice department says there really was no need for it to get involved since both Louis Ceparano and Emmett Cressell Junior were both convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

Police have confirmed at least one member of the Cuban delegation in Baltimore for the Cuban Team's game with the Orioles has defected.
Police say Rigoberto Herrera is being given asylum.
Six members of the delegation actually missed their plane back to Havana.

The Cary, North Carolina school teacher legally changed her name yesterday to Obi Wan Kenobi---after the Jedi Master

from the movies.
The sixth grade teacher had tried earlier in the week to change her name, but the Empire struck back in the form of the Durham Clerk of Courts. He said Briggs didn't have a good enough reason to change her name.
But Briggs refused to give up and the Jedi returned to the court where the clerk finally gave in. He changed her name to Obi Wan Kenobi once she promised to change her name on her driver's license and other documents.
Kenobi was given a thousand dollars by a radio station to change her name. She says she will donate the money to the Duke Children's Hospital.
