The Rutherford Institute in Charlottesville has agreed to represent the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
That's the same group that eventually represented Paula Jones in her lawsuit against the President.
A similar suit by the Sons of Confederate Veterans in Maryland succeeded at the federal district court level, Keith.

ELLEN: They have about three thousand members statewide... and none are black. But they say they're working to recruit two black members now.

The U-S Justice Department has wrapped up its investigation involving one of the area's most high profile cases.
Federal officials say the murder of a black man in Grayson County at the hands of two white men will NOT be ruled a hate crime.

It's been nearly two years since Garnett "GP" Johnson was doused with gasoline, burned alive and later decapitated at a drinking party in Elk Creek.
Shortly thereafter, the US Justice Department was asked to investigate to determine if Johnson's civil rights had been violated.
Federal prosecutors recently concluded that proving a federal violation would have been difficult-- considering Johnson was killed on private property, not, for instance, while at work or school.
At the same time, they complimented the work of local prosecutors indicating there really was NO need for federal involving considering Louis Capering and Emit Cranwell, Junior are both serving life sentences.

Police say Rigoberto Herrera is seeking asylum.
