The Centers for Disease Control says people who received blood transfusions before July of 1992 are at risk.

The five hundred year old "Last Supper," was in bad shape. When he painted it, Leonardo Di Vinci used an experimental al fresco technique that began to flake almost as soon as he finished it.
Restorers began a long renovation on the work trying to keep it from disappearing completely.
They took the unprecedented move of stripping away all the paint used by previous restorers.
The work reveals colors that were previously hidden and lines that were crude and inexpressive are now delicate and refined.
Some critics say the artists went too far.
