It happened around two o'clock yesterday afternoon near the intersection of Beaver Dam Road and Route 11.
Authorities say the man was travelling west along Beaver Dam Road when his truck veered off the shoulder, flipped and landed in a creek.

Some Roanoke homeowners got an unwelcome visitor yesterday.

A jeep crashed through the front of this house.
It happened at 14-31 Buena Vista Street.
Roanoke police say the jeep was parked along a steep driveway across the street when its emergency brakes failed.
It then sped down the driveway and smashed into the home.
No one was in the jeep or at home at the time and there were no injuries reported.
There's no word on the cost of the damages.

V-M-I cadets and other civil war soldiers charged across the New Market battlefield.

The cadets were among almost two-thousand people yesterday who participated in the re-enactment of the Battle of New Market.
The re-enactment is an annual event and history lesson of sorts for the cadets.
During the Civil War the entire cadet corps was called into action by the Confederacy in 1864.

Dole said the women will play an important role in society as leaders.

V-M-I cadets helped re-create the Civil War battle that took the lives of ten cadets.
Almost two-thousand people re-enacted the Battle of New Market over the weekend.
The V-M-I cadets were called into service to fight at the 18-64 battle.
