But an attempt to rescue another swimmer turned deadly for 26 year old Jimmy Gilmore of Christiansburg.

Gilmore's body was recovered near McCoy Falls, in Montgomery County, at about seven last night.
Witnesses say he disappeared while trying to help a panicked young woman who apparently couldn't swim.
A couple of bystanders who ran to help the pair were eventually able to help the young woman to shore but could NOT get to Gilmore.
Lifeguard- 10 located his body about three hours later.

Researchers say endostatin has wiped out tumors in mice by stunting a tumors' ability to grow new vessels.
They hope it does the same in humans.

((The generals came into Saturday's game against the Big Red with it's highest ranking in 10 years. But W & L could only watch as Denison exploded midway through the third quarter to end a promising post season. But this team is still thankful because of defenseman Brian Brantley. The junior never made it to the playoffs. In April his visit to the school's infirmary for flu symptoms escalated into a Cat Scan revealing a growth on his brain that required immediate surgery.
