State police say traffic deaths in Virginia are DOWN about 20- percent this year compared to last year. They credit stepped-up enforcement on 81 and other interstates for much of that decline.

Jim Druckenmiller admits he had sex with a Virginia Tech student at a house in Blacksburg, back in March.
But the former Tech quarterback, who now plays for the 49-ers, says it was consensual.
In court today, his attorneys argued that prosecutors have been withholding certain witness statements that could prove the young woman had been actively pursuing him that night.

Defense attorneys are especially interested in statements made by the alleged victim.
