A grand jury is expected to decide if charges will be filed against the Radford woman involved in a weekend accident that killed two young girls.

13-year old Leslie Ann Cole and 12-year old Eden Hall died late Saturday night when they were thrown from the pickup they were riding in.

45-year old Terry Cabell (Cuh-Bell) was behind the wheel of the pickup.
Police say she was traveling East on Rock Road in Radford when she apparently lost control and swerved into the path of a Ford van.
Cabell, who was injured in the wreck, is the mother of Leslie Cole.
Both girls attended Radford's John N- Dalton Intermediate school.
The seventh graders were in Kelly (mah-row's) Mauro's science class.

Neighbors have placed a marker near the spot where Wimbush was shot down Monday morning.

So far, no suspects have been named in the shooting.

A Maryland couple has filed a 6-point-9 million dollar lawsuit against Wilderness Adventure in Craig County.
Michael and Hillary Friedman say their 14-year old son, Mathew, was struck by lightening at the camp LAST June and is now blind in one eye as a result.
The complaint filed in federal court in Roanoke today by a Fairfax lawyer says Wilderness Adventure knew of the danger associated with thunderstorms.
But the suit says Wilderness Adventure "recklessly disregarded the weather warnings... when they sent Mathew and his fellow campers off to camp in the woods."

commander advises how to make it "secure for dropping and sinking."
42 holes are drilled into the casket. 3 80 pound sandbags are put
inside.
A memo written by an aide to Defense Secretary McNamara records how the
casket is moved from the Archives to a C-130 transport plane at Andrews
Air Force Base on February 18, 1966.
It is fitted with two parachutes to insure it won't break apart on
landing.
The crew flies to a point off the Delaware coast....
The plane drops to 500 feet; And...at precisely 10 a.m..... the weighted casket is pushed out. It sinks "sharply, clearly and

We pick up the highlights in the first with Dinwiddie's Victor Slade placing the bunt down the first base line. He's out on the unassisted play at first, but Lamont Jordan is able to score thanks to the GW throwing error to second and it's one to nothing Dinwiddie.
The Eagles defense woudl settle down and Justin Tubb makes the diving catch in right field to end the inning and set down the Generals.

In Group A softball - Glenvar advances with a 7-to-1 win over Appalachia. Hallie East tossed a complete game.
In Group Two A softball - Lindsey Torrence tossed a 4 hitter as Rustburg beat Patrick Co. 1-to-0. Northside was upset by Va. High losing 4-to-3 in 10.
In Group Two-A baseball, Lebanon ended Brookville's season with a 9-to-2 win.
And in Group A baseball Glenvar topped JJ Kelly 6-to-3.

((Shimp balances her duties as the school's drum major, as a student with a four point OH grade point average, and as an athlete who has has earned all region honors. But don't feel sorry for this overworked teenager.

Shimp batted .474 and went the entire season without an error from her centerfield position, and she played most of the season with stress fractures in both legs.
