Late last week-- a jury convicted Cressell of unlawful wounding and sentenced him to five years in prison for beating a man just weeks before Johnson's death.
Prosecutor J-D Bolt says the conviction and additional prison time will make it harder for Cressell to secure geriatric parole at age 65.

Investigators say the 34- year old was having an affair with a married man and that she wanted his wife dead.
Last week, Alderman asked to be released on bond.

This morning-- the order was signed by the judge and Alderman later posted the 25-thousand dollar secured bond needed for her release.

Southside tobacco farmers are starting to feel the heat.

Students in western Virginia have been receiving S-O-L test scores with their final report cards, and now school systems are looking to see how THEY measure up in the latest round of testing.
