The U-S Supreme Court says the state can reschedule the execution of the man who killed a local woman in 1990.

Tommy David Strickler murdered 19-year old Leanne Whitlock of Roanoke after abducting the J-M-U student from a Harrisonburg shopping mall.
Attorneys for Strickler argued his rights were violated when prosecutors withheld evidence Strickler claims would have helped his case.
The Supreme Court disagreed and said Virginia authorities could set an execution date.

Circuit City has pulled the plug on DIVX (DIV-ix).
The machines were supposed to be a better idea than D-V-D-- but proved too complex to appeal to consumers.
The idea was to buy movie discs, instead of renting, and your machine would bill you if you watched the movie again-- by dialing in through a phone line to check your viewing habits.
Circuit City is offering 100- dollar rebates to people who bought the DIVX machines.

He was killed in a plane crash five years ago.
Talbot's wife, Jane, says the trail is a fitting place for a memorial because the two enjoyed taking walks there.

The board said this shakeup won't stop patients from getting the care they need.

University of Virginia researchers are developing an edible vaccine to prevent a common parasite from killing an estimated 100-thousand people a year. Doctors say if an edible vaccine works to prevent the parasitic ameba disease -- then similar ones could be used for infections like the flu.

But not all vaccines are best taken by mouth. A federal advisory panel says the polio vaccine -- given orally -- should no longer be used. The panel says children may end up accidentally getting polio from the weakened live virus formula. Officials suggest a killed virus form that is given by injection. The alternative is safer, but does not provide the same level of protection.
