There's been a shakeup at the troubled Patrick Community Hospital.

Earlier this month we reported that the hospital was trying to deal with a debt of some three million dollars.
Now there's been two major changes in the hospital's administration.
John Faulkner has resigned as chief executive officer and is no longer involved in the day- to- day operations of the hospital.
According to a hospital press release, the chief financial officer-- Alan Smith-- is no longer employed by the hospital.
Earlier in the month, the chairman of the hospital's board of directors stepped down ... but insisted his resignation had nothing to do with the money problems.
The board of trustees says the changes will insure the continued delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care.

Agents got some tips after her story was featured on T-V's ``America's Most Wanted.''
Soliah is being held on a federal fugitive warrant -- indicted in 1976 in California for attempted murder.
She allegedly put bombs under two police cars.
Both bombs were spotted and disarmed and nobody was hurt.
If convicted she could get life in prison.

Thomas was convicted of killing the parents of his girlfriend in 1990 when he was 17.
Last week, the court ruled that both parents must be notified when a juvenile is charged with a crime. Only Thomas' mother was told of his arrest.

After leading authorities on a five-day manhunt last year, the man charged with killing a Henry County man has entered a "no contest" plea.

There's been a shakeup in the administration at the only hospital in Patrick County.
The Patrick Community Hospital is more than three million dollars in debt.
According to a hospital press release, C-E-O john Faulkner has resigned and the chief financial officer is no longer employed by the hospital.
The board of trustees says the changes will help continue the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care.

The cost of the smart-road is rising.
The price tag of the first phase of the project has doubled to nearly 33 million dollars.
Engineers say the higher cost resulted from the need for slopes along the road instead of vertical rock walls.
