A Roanoke judge today convicted one of the students who thought it would be a good joke to make a bomb threat at school... after the Columbine shootings.

Only Jason Woodson wasn't your typical "call-in the-threat" kind of bomber.
He wasn't a BOMBER at all.
In Juvenile Court today Spanish Teacher Leslie Cleveland testified the incident with Woodson came on the heels of an earlier bomb scare the same day.
She was returning to her classroom with the students, when Woodson asked her: "Has your room blown up, yet?" She indicated it had NOT, and then- -by HER account, Woodson said: "Well, it's going to."
Woodson denies making the second remark.
An hour later the building was evacuated a second time.

Judge Joe Clarke concluded Woodson was suggesting he had some control over the situation and so the judge said the 16-year old was guilty of making a bomb threat. That's a felony.
The judge postponed a decision on punishment... for two months.

Roanoke Fire Officials now know the cause for the apartment house fire last Sunday.

Eight people including several small children were inside when the fire started at 14-05 Campbell.

The Chicago Cubs outslugged the Rockies yesterday 12-to-10 at Coors Field.
And the big man was none other than Sammy Sosa.

Sosa hit his 26th and 27th blasts of the year. Ths first one came in the 6th inning to right center field and put the Cubs in front 9-to-6.
But no lead is safe at this altitude, so for good measure Sosa hit his 26th dinger in

the 9th. The two run show turned out to be the game winning hit as the Cubs hang on for the 12-to-10 win. Sosa leads the National League with those 26 homers.

((Haley's camp has attracted more than 60 campers this year. And his camp is a little different because Haley goes through the same drills with the campers.

He's worked out recently for the 49ers, the Washington Redskins and the Carolina Panthers.
