But today there's just ONE lucky winner of the Powerball jackpot.
Officials with the multi-state lottery say the 150 million dollar ticket was sold in Minnesota.


The winning numbers were five, ten 12, 20 , 40 and the Powerball three.
The jackpot is the third largest in Powerball history.
Powerball is played in 20 states and the District of Columbia.

The much-heralded plant expansion for Volvo trucks gets its ceremonial start later today.
Governor Gilmore will be on hand with Volvo's president to break ground in Dublin for a 148-million dollar plant expansion.
The governor said earlier this year that state incentives for the expansion will help bring 13-hundred new jobs to the Volvo truck plant.

Salem school officials are happy with the results of the latest Standards of Learning tests.
They were released just a few hours ago.
The numbers show South Salem met the 70 percent pass rate in all subjects.

Danville City Council members are meeting at this hour .. and they promise to offer more details on the sudden resignation of City Manager Ray Griffin.
He stepped down yesterday under pressure from city council.
Still unresolved is exactly when he's leaving.
Griffin says Council told him he could remain through the end of the year.
But Mayor Ruby Archie says tomorrow is Griffin's final day.

The area east of the White House had to be blocked off while police searched for a reported rooftop gunman.
Someone apparently called Park police on a cell phone and reported seeing a man on the roof of a building near the white house.
The caller said the man might have a rifle.
Police on the ground and in the air checked rooftops, and found nothing.
They then reopened the streets and sidewalks.

The Congressional Budget Office is expected to announce today, that its projections show federal budget surpluses for the next ten years will be much less that President Clinton estimates.
About 120 billion less.
The difference means lawmakers may have less extra money than first expected ... for either tax cuts or more spending.

Nearly five and a-half (m) million kids are living with their grandparents -- and it's not just for summer vacation.
The Census Bureau has released its first report on the subject. It finds the kids are moving to grandma's because their own parents can't or won't care for them.

So much so that he climbed onto the roof of his family home, and lowered himself through a one-foot wide chimney pot.
You can figure the rest. Jonathan fell 30 feet inside of the chimney and became wedged in a 10-inch square space.
