The FBI has joined the search for the suspect, described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old driving a blue Ford Taurus... now on the run, facing a capital murder charge.

The body of an Evington man was discovered around 6:30 this morning at Smith Mountain Lake near the Mariners Landing area.
34 year-old Hank Edward Little has been missing since Thursday night.
He disappeared while spending time at the lake with his friends.
Little had told them he was going for a swim-- that was around 10:30 pm.
But he never returned.

Little's body was discovered by a woman renting this house on Lake Retreat property.
The woman says she saw a body floating in the cove area behind the house.

Supporters of a death row inmate blocked access to the Liberty Bell, forcing police to close it to the public for three hours today.
55 people were arrested. They want Mumia Abu-Jamal (moo-MEE AH-boo jah-MAHL) released from prison. He was sentenced to death 17 years ago for the killing of a Philadelphia police officer.
He says he's innocent .. and blames his conviction on a biased judge.

An accident late this morning on interstate 81 had holiday traffic backed up for over four hours.

It happened shortly before noon at the northern end of Rockbridge County between Lexington and Staunton. Apparently a tractor-trailer tried to turn into the passing lane and struck a car. Both vehicles went into the median and the truck flipped over. The driver of the car walked away with only minor injuries, however the truck driver was taken to Stonewall Jackson by EMS and pronounced dead. Traffic didn't get moving on the interstate until 4 o'clock.

Every year, men in the town of Pueblo del Diria stand in the street and hit each other with flexible wooden swords.
The swords may be fake, but the enthusiasm is real... so is the blood...

The tradition also involves some home-made liquor.
The combatants say the event is light-hearted and friendly.

The men's finals at Wimbledon will be an all american match between Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi.

Sampras will be trying to win the title for the sixth time in seven years. He advanced to the finals with a four set victory over Britian's Tim Henman. After dropping the first set Sampras won three straight to capture the win.
Agassi could become the first man to win the French and Wimbledon in the same year.
He advanced to the finals with a three set, 7-5, 7-6, 6-2 win over Patrick Rafter. The wins makes Agassi the number one ranked mens player in the World.

Graf, looking for her 8-th Wimbledon championship, beat Mirjana Lucic (meer-yah'-nah Loot'-Chich) in three set, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.
Davenport should move to the number one spot when the new rankings come out Monday. She blew away qualifer Alexandra Stevenson 6-1, 6-1 to reach her second career grand slam.

The 10th annual Commonwealth Games got started today with the Equestrian Sports.

The Roanoke City Mounted Police with the help of a junior officer from the Therapeutic riding club served as the color guard.
The competition offers the three Olympic disciplines: dressage which is similar to figure eights in skating, jumping which is a straight timed event and a combination of dressage and jumping.
This is the first year riders with disabilities also competed.

Steve Marino, a sophomore at the University of Virginia, is the Virginia Amateur champion.
Marino from Fairfax beat Keith Decker of Fieldale 5 and 4 in the afternoon match to claim the title.
Marino started the day 4 under par for the first holes and he never gave up that lead on his way to the title.
