The discovery came about two hours after searchers were called out.
No official word yet on the man's identity or what led to the drowning.

Residents in Galax are still checking their mailbox for a car tax refund check.
According to the city's commissioner of revenue, the D-M-V is to blame.

But he says, despite his repeated calls to the D-M-V, the agency has NOT sent any refund checks to city residents.
