Despite a strong academic record, it was revealed that 15- year old Robin Martin was on probation when she was arrested, earlier this week.

Martin has a prior record for verbal assault on her grandmother and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Her probation officer testified that Martin is a good student but suffers from depression and is a suicide risk.
Her mother, Sara, was at today's hearing and stands behind her daughter despite the fact it was HER father that was killed.
She says Robin told her that she fired the gun because her grandfather had been beating her and calling her names.

The chief has switched more than 50 officers around and disbanded an entire department.

Flags are flying at half-staff at Kennedy Space Center in Florida and at Houston's Johnson Space Center -- in honor of Pete Conrad.
Conrad -- the third man to walk on the moon -- died yesterday in a motorcycle wreck in California.
He was 69 years old.
Officials say Conrad was riding with friends when he apparently took a turn too wide and was thrown from his bike.

A religious group based in our area is demanding Walt Disney World warn families before booking trips during an annual "Gay Day" gathering of homosexuals.

The Forest based Christian Action Network says Disney should inform families they will be among large groups of gays and lesbians during the gathering organized by Florida gay-rights groups.
It also demands Disney refund vacation costs to parents unaware of "Gay Day."
To illustrate its point, the Network says it is releasing a video of what it calls a gay party inside Disney's Pleasure Island resort.
The group says the video shows people simulating sexual situations.
