22- year- old Keandra Denise Carter suffered multiple stab wounds at the hands of her ex- boyfriend.. officials say she died from a lethal wound to the neck.
A Campbell County deputy responding to the call shot and killed 29- year- old Farrakhan Ali Wright after Wright charged at the deputy with a knife.
Eyewitnesses support the deputy's account ...that the shooting was justified.

A Martinsville Sheriff's deputy was shot by another deputy this afternoon inside the city municipal building.
Martinsville police say the shooting was accidental and that both men involved are close friends.
The wounded deputy was shot in the thigh.
He was taken to Martinsville Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The names of the deputies have not been released.

Women who want to give birth the old-fashioned way--using a midwife--could face fewer legal restrictions. But only if the Joint Health Commission subcommittee listens to midwife proponents. They say births assisted by midwives have no more complications than PHYSICIAN deliveries. As the law currently stands--it's illegal for anyone other than a registered nurse with special training to offer midwife services.

This two year construction project will ultimately add 15 thousand more seats to bring stadium capacity to 60 thousand-107 seats. The 79 million dollar project price tag also includes the reconstruction of Bryant Hall in the south end zone, which will now be located under the new south side seating. The stadium is also inclosed on three sides now. For this upcoming season, the lower south side seating, the locker rooms and a new plaza will be completed.
