The bodies of John F. Kennedy Junior, Caroline Besette Kennedy and Lauren Besette have been removed from the ocean tonight- all three were found inside the plane's fuselage.
There are reports that JFK Jr. will be buried at sea tomorrow morning-

A lightning strike was responsible for a house fire tonight in south Roanoke.

Annabelle and Bill Lavin (LAV-in) were sitting down to dinner when they heard a clap of thunder close by.
They didn't know their house was on fire until their neighbors on Cassell Avenue alerted them.
The flames were trapped between the roof and ceiling... Firefighters had to ventilate the roof in four places to bring it under control.
No one was injured.

The prosecution wrapped up its case today in the rape trial of former Virginia Tech quarterback, Jim Druckenmiller.

The athlete, who was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers, is accused of raping a 22- year old college student at a party in Blacksburg, back in March.
Today the young woman took the stand telling jurors she passed out and that when she woke up she found Druckenmiller on top of her having sex.
She says she never yelled for help because she was disoriented and scared.
She also told the jury she had NOT been flirting with the athlete earlier in the evening.

Her testimony conflicts with that of several defense witnesses who testified that the young woman had been rubbing against Druckenmiller and telling him she wanted him.

Two people died in an apparent murder-suicide in Pulaski County this morning.

It happened at the Camelot apartments in Fairlawn.
Neighbors say a woman was delivering some kind of document to her ex-boyfriend, when he pulled her inside and locked the door.
Neighbors say the woman's teenage daughter was outside the apartment when it happened and called police, who found two bodies just inside the front door.
Investigators say no names will be released until they finish notifying family members.

The Environmental Protection Agency says that for years the company's boilers put out dust and soot above legal limits.

A federal jury has been deliberating all evening without a verdict in the tax-evasion case against Doctor Verna Lewis.

An accountant reviewed the returns and found a total of 38-thousand dollars in improper deductions over a three-year period... when she had about 400-thousand dollars a year in gross income.

Last night Washington outscored Cleveland by three in the second half.

Today, the Big East and the Music City Bowl announced a multi-year agreement

to send a league team to the Nashville, Tennessee based game for the nest three years.
The Hokies won the Inaugural Music City Bowl, crushing Alabama 38-7 this past December. This partnership will match a the fourth place finisher in the Big East against a selection from the SEC.

You can enter the contest by dropping off a five dollar donation at Kroger's Towne Square Shopping Center location and the Brambleton Kroger on July 31st. A winner will be drawn August 15th

It's the third year the Avalanche has helped out with the camp.
