Government sources Kennedy's body was found in the wreckage.

A MAJOR PART OF THE FUSELAGE LAY NEAR WHERE INVESTIGATORS HAD PREDICTED IT HAD SLAMMED INTO THE WATER FRIDAY NIGHT.
THE NEXT STEP IS THE DELICATE OPERATION TO BRING THE WRECKAGE AND THE BODIES TO THE SURFACE.
THE U-S NAVY SHIP 'GRASP' WAS MOVED INTO A BETTER POSITION OVERNIGHT TO GET DIVERS IN THE WATER TO HELP IN THAT EFFORT - AN OPERATION HAMPERED BY COLD WATER AND STRONG UNDERWATER CURRENTS.

He was last seen driving his Mazda pickup truck.
Yesterday, officials found what they believe is Mallory's body inside his vehicle.
Mallory apparently drove his vehicle over a steep embankment near the Blue Ridge Parkway in Ashe County.

The S-C-L-C was scheduled to hold its convention in Charleston to honor the 30th anniversary of a hospital workers' strike in the city.

The 6-7, 220-pound forward jumped straight from high school to the NBA last year but played very little for the Detroit Pistons.
