Authorities are resuming their search this morning for a man who's believed to have drowned in Claytor Lake.

Rescue crews received the call around six last night.
Investigators say the man and a relative were boating in the Snowville area and jumped in to swim.
When their boat started to float away, the two began swimming toward it.
Investigators say it was around then the man started to have trouble swimming and disappeared.
The area rescue crews are searching is extremely deep.
For that reason, state police, who have more experience and equipment than local volunteers, were asked to handle the underwater search.

Alfred Lusk was fishing with relatives in the New River Saturday, near Hazel Hollow Road in Pulaski County.
Investigators say he apparently slipped on a rock and fell in while trying to cross the river. Lusk lived in West Virginia.

State police say a southbound car crossed the median striking another vehicle head-on.
A tractor-trailor then hit the those two vehicles and a pick-up truck was also struck.
Traffic was backed-up for several hours on the interstate while the vehicles were being removed.

A signal failure may be responsible a train accident that has killed hundreds in India.
News reports indicated as many as 500 people are feared dead .. and another one thousand injured.
Officials tell the British Broadcasting Corporation that a signal failure may have caused two trains to be on the same track and collide head-on.

Firefighters are keeping busy in Rockbridge County, battling fires in the George Washington National Forest.

There were three separate fires over the weekend.
Firefighters and the US Forest Service have been working to contain a fire burning 15 acres atop Elephant Mountain near Buena Vista.
The two other fires are under control.
Over 1-hundred firefighters have been at work, along with a helicopter making water drops.
No personal property or structures are endangered by the fires.

Four people were killed yesterday when a small plane crashed just moments after take-off in northeast Ohio.

The lone surviror is said to be in serious condition.
There's no word yet on the cause of the crash.

A federal judge in Richmond is expected to hear arguments today .. on a lawsuit challenging Virginia's new garbage import laws.
The original suit was brought by Waste Management, which operates five Virginia landfills.
Virginia officials say New York City belongs in the case because it produces much of the trash that Waste Management carries.
A federal judge must decide whether New York will become part of the case.

Barton's wife, Leigh Ann, was buried yesterday.
The murder of his family marked just the beginning of Barton's shooting rampage last week in the Atlanta area.

Clinton also discusses her husband's abuse as a child and the psychological trauma, she believes, is the cause of his behavior.
Some believe the interview will put to rest the questions that could follow her during a potential run for Senate.
