With former Liberty University star Eric Green nursing a sore right knee, the Jets re-acquired tight end John Burke from the San Diego Chargers for a conditional draft pick in 2001.
The former Virginia Tech star played under Bill Parcells in New England and he played seven games with the Jets in 1997.
Burke is in his 6th year in the league. You can see him and the rest of the Jets take on the Packers here on WDBJ-7 this Saturday night at eight. ((BYE BYE))

12 starters return, six on both offense and defense, but Landis says the strength of this team does not rest of just a few key players.

Elsewhere in Bedford County the Minutemen are working on a comeback from last season's oh and 10 record.
A lot of responsibility is going to rest on the shoulders of running back Shannon Clark until quarterback Anthony Brown, who is recovering from a knee injury, gets the OK to play.
Liberty only lost three starters and has the strong team leadership of 13 seniors.
