A 19 year old boy was murdered early this morning at a local restaurant.
Now Roanoke City Police say they are searching for several suspects.

Police say around 1:55 this morning Prentice R. Jordan was shot more than once inside Easley's -- a restaurant on the 36-hundred block of Shenandoah Avenue, Northwest.
Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say a confrontation between several people led to the shots being fired.

Lynchburg police are searching for two women who robbed a drug store. It happened shortly after 12 this afternoon at Pearson Drug on Boonsboro Road. Officials say the two women had a small handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

One suspect is described as a 5 foot 7 inch black woman in her 40's weighing 200 pounds. The other suspect is said to be a black woman in her late 20's or early 30's, weighing 140 pounds, and is 5 foot 8 inches tall. The suspects were seen driving an old model Plymouth yellow in color.

Help may be on the way for Virginia farmers who lost crops, poultry, and livestock in the drought of '99.
Governor Gilmore convened a meeting of the State Drought Monitoring Task Force yesterday and they agreed the greatest need at this time is help in transporting hay and water to livestock.
So Gilmore authorized the Virginia National Guard to help with the transport.
He also directed the state agriculture department to immediately identify and provide donated hay and water to drought stricken farmers.

(( For 150 years, it saw justice handed out to thousands of people, but just a few years ago, Campbell County's old courthouse was nearly given a death sentence itself.
The county replaced the cramped and outdated courthouse with a new building in 1991 and the fate of the historic landmark was left hanging.
That's when Eleanor Carson and the county's historical society stepped in.

Ernie Irvan's doctors will keep him at a Michigan hospital through tomorrow to run a few more tests.
