Corpus Christi is the most populated area near Kennedy County, where Bret is predicted to make a direct hit, about 40 miles south of this city... still not a big enough threat for some to take cover.

But like surrounding areas, a mandatory evacuation is in effect for Corpus Christi, advising residents to flee as far as San Antonio, 100 miles away. Another accident on Interstate 81 held up traffic for about 45 minutes.

It happened around 4 this afternoon near the Ironto exit. Apparently a woman was swerving to miss part of a tire that was lying on the highway when she over steered and hit the guard rail, where she was ejected from her vehicle. Her car then continued forward and hit the guard rail again, where it came to a stop.
The woman was airlifted by Lifeguard to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the extent of her condition has not yet been released.

Investigators are still searching for several suspects involved in yesterdays shooting at a Roanoke nightclub.

It happened around two o'clock Saturday morning inside of Easley's Restaurant, located on the 36-hundred block of Shenandoah Avenue. Authorities say what started out as a fight between two groups of young men from different Northwest Roanoke neighborhoods turned deadly for 19 year old Prentice Roshaud Jordan of Roanoke when guns came into the dispute. Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
Jordan's family and witnesses have identified two gunmen.
Police are investigating their claim, but are unable to confirm the suspects identities.

Buying a home when the interests rate are low -- may save you thousands of dollars.
Right now interests rate have increased about two percent since the beginning of the year.
Some Realtors say that it has caused a slight drop in home sales in the Roanoke area -- with first home buyers being affected the most.

The family is a member of the Smith Mountain Lake Water Ski Club and says the club has been a big part of Sara's success in the sport.
