Fan died on the park's Shockwave coaster shortly before nine.

King's Dominion is one of the state's most popular tourist sites, attracting nearly two- and a half million visitors a year.

There was drama on the high seas today... when a luxury cruise ship... packed with Americans... crashed into a burning freighter... in the English Channel.
The collision happened about twenty miles off the southeast coast of England.

The cruise ship, the Norwegian Dream, managed to limp into the port of Dover early this morning. Her bow showed the evidence of what had happened. Her largely American passengers provided the testimony.
'Well... All I heard was a loud bang and got up I looked out the window I seen it looked like to me a lot of ship coming by.'
'The first thought I had was Titanic are we sinking are we going to die.'
'I'm glad to be on the ground. It was scary, very scary.'
In fact the container ship the Ever Decent took the brint of the damage-- part of her cargo was set on fire by the collision.
Some of the cargo ships containers were actually knocked onto the passenger ship's deck. The wasn't much panic but there was come confusion.

With 43 Virginia communities deemed drought disasters areas by the Department of Agriculture,
The Shenandoah Valley and northern Virginia areas are hardest hit.
Farm losses in the state are estimated at more than 100 million dollars so far.
But, many farmers have opted to sell animals rather than pay excessive prices for hay and water.
