Despite one official's confirmation that there WAS a fear of retaliation for the murder of a Roanoke teen, the superintendent says it was just an issue of respect.

Former D-E-A Informant Michael Fulcher was found guilty tonight of running a "continuing criminal enterprise" out of the Bland Correctional Center. Though Fulcher's ex-wife and mother were also convicted of money laundering, a former prison guard and another inmate were acquitted.

When he got busted, the feds recruited him to get the goods on other guards AND inmates.

Jurors struggled with his case, we're told. In the end they didn't believe the witnesses, so they sent him home.

Matt Kenseth dominated the Busch race at Bristol tonight taking the checkered flag in the Food City 250.

Hensley has been driving the number 43 Dodge for three years and he has two wins including this victory at Martinsville this past April.

Allen was released by Washington on March 14-th. He signed a multi year deal with the Patriots. He will received a 1-hundred-thousand dollar signing bonus and a base salary of 400-thousand in 1999.
He turned down a one year 1-million dollar deal with the Lions to accept the 2 year deal with the Patriots.
Allen left Washington as the third all time leading rusher in franchise history. He led the team in rushing last year with 700 yards and he scored 2 touchdowns on 148 carries.
