A federal jury in Roanoke has convicted former D-E-A Informant Michael Fulcher of heading a marijuana and money laundering ring in the Bland Correctional Center. Fulcher's ex-wife and mother were also convicted of money laundering, but a former prison guard and another inmate were acquitted.

When he got busted, the feds recruited him to get the goods on other guards AND inmates.

Several inmates testified King brought marijuana into the prison hidden with his lunch in a cooler.
Jurors struggled with his case, we're told. In the end they didn't believe the witnesses, so they sent him home.

There's a lower-than-usual demand for industrial trucks -- like trash haulers.
The United Auto Workers local president says demand will pick up again.

The airplane manufacturer is still trying to avert a strike by its largest union.

The Machinists union wants to preserve jobs, and get better medical benefits and pensions.
Boeing wants to save money by subcontracting work and paying less for benefits.
The union votes on Wednesday.

Martinsville came from behind to beat Rustburg on the red Devils home turf 26-to-16.

On Friday the crew climbed out of the space station and into the Soyuz escape capsule.

Next spring, Mir will leave outer space, fry up in the atmosphere, and scatter its own ashes in the Pacific Ocean.
