Researchers at the University of Michigan looked for online information about one particular form of cancer... and found many sites listing experimental treatment... six percent were misleading or completely wrong.
Doctors conclude patients CAN find good medical information online, if they use caution.

((The doctors at Carilion Internal Medicine are leaving, one telling us he was forced to leave. Carilion said this wasn't "an adversarial process", that the company is just trying to keep up with changes in healthcare administration.
A viewer from Hardy [J. Gordon] wrote:
"The recent dismissal of the doctors at Internal Medicine has just left me completely bewildered. We, as the public, are expected to pay (high) prices for health care to Carilion and all like it. These doctors were released because they made the ill fated mistake of spending too much time with their patients. When I am Ill, I want my doctor's full attention. Yes, it may take longer because he or she is spending that same quality time with the patient before me, but I know that my time is coming...To the giants of Carilion, I ask you, what will you think when this happens to you or your loved one?"

A police manhunt continues for the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of Prentice Jordan last weekend.

Police say 23 year old Timothy Buford is armed and dangerous..
Authorities have received information that he has made threats to kill other people and himself. [TAKE CRIMESTOPPERS FULL SCREEN]

In Wytheville, a 22- year old man faces murder charges.
Police arrested Jason Sanders Wolfe after deputies answered a disturbance call in the Stony Fork area of Wythe County and discovered a victim, who apparently died from a blow to the head.
The victim's name is being held until the family can be notified.
Wolfe is held at the New River Regional Jail without bond.

The Virginia Department of Transportation is not the only state agency accused of threatening the environment.
A report in the Richmond Times-Dispatch says the Department of Corrections, Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia have all been cited by the Department of Environmental Quality for running afoul of environmental restrictions.

Gilmore last week ordered a criminal investigation of V-DOT because of two environmental violations.

Christiansburg police are still not releasing any additional information about the man found dead in the street yesterday morning.
Residents of the otherwise quiet neighborhood were shocked at the discovery.

Nations Bank has a new look and a new name. Traffic on Jefferson Street in downtown Roanoke was blocked off yesterday in anticipation of the Bank of America debut today.
