But they didn't always count the stacks of dirty cash at the Bank of Floyd.
The government says that's how Head teller Karen Villarini at the Cave Spring Branch embezzled 83-thousand dollars from the bank. She allegedly reported there was more mutilated money in the vault than there was over the years.
As her trial opened in federal court today, Villarini's lawyer mocked the auditors for failing to count the mutilated money, because they said it would have taken too long and they didn't want to get their hands dirty.
