Pluma filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy several months ago.
Up until today, the company had been seeking financial backers.... looking for 60-million dollars in financing to bail the company out of bankruptcy.
But today, employees say Pluma told them those investors didn't latch on.
There are three more plants that will close in the area: the Martinsville plant, one in Vesta, and another in Eden, North Carolina. Plants in Chatham and Alta Vista were already shut down earlier this summer.
Workers say the company also announced today that it intends to shut down its sewing plants in Mexico and Honduras.
