Healthcare policy, and the Al Bedrosian assault case, continue to bring letters to News-7's Feedback.

((A woman from Roanoke [Cheryl Clifton] wrote to defend Al Bedrosian and to criticize the mother of the child he swatted.
(She) stated that her child was playing with his cousin, not misbehaving. As numerous witnesses testified her child was very disruptive and certainly not in control. As a parent of three children, I cared enough about them and people they came in contact with to make them behave in public. Some people are concerned that this case was racially motivated, which is ridiculous. Maybe these people should be more concerned about a mother who has a problem with parenting skills...An episode like this would never have taken place if a parent cared enough about her child and others to correct him in the proper way.
From Vinton [Nancy E. McGuire] came a complaint about the business of healthcare.
"You see our pharmacies closing because we the people of the United States have to send our medicine off to be filled at a mail order company, and pray they send us back the correct medicine. Politicians, where are you standing when the Land of the Free needs you to stand up for us? We cannot go to the hospital of our choice anymore, or pick the doctors we need, want, trust, put our faith in, to help us get well...It does not matter what color we are, or if we are male or female. We all still have hearts, and we need the proper care from people whose hands have been tied, because of this political world."
Letters should be sent to News-7 at P.O. Box 7, Roanoke, 24022-0007.
Our fax number is 343-7269.
Our e-mail is news@wdbj7.com.

Two death row inmates are appealing their sentences to the state supreme court today.
Steve Edward Roach and Douglas Christopher Thomas were juveniles when they were convicted and were scheduled for execution this summer.
But in June, the state Supreme Court upheld a ruling that overturned a juvenile conviction in another case because the youth's father wasn't notified of a key hearing.
The justices suggested that any conviction resulting from proceedings in which both parents weren't notified would have to be set aside.
Roach was 17 when he robbed and killed a woman in 1993.
