Tonight new plans were brought to the table.
Board members clashed when it came to what needed to be scaled back: some said school capacity, others said the auditorium, or stadium.
After Chairman Bob Johnson heard proposed budgets ranging from 28 to 33 million dollars - he decided on a compromise figure: 30 million dollars.
He asked architects to scale down plans to fit the budget, while providing the new school with all the amenities they asked for.
Board member Harry Nickens isn't sure its the best bargain - but he says valuable time is being lost.

Many Redskins faithful didn't even make it to Sunday's game on time and some missed the whole thing due to traffic and parking problems.
Redskins officials met yesterday with police to figure out how to better get fans in and out of the stadium.
Team owner Daniel Snyder says he'll build as many as seven-thousand additional parking spots at Redskins' stadium at a cost of about 35 million dollars.
But they won't be ready by the next home game on October 3rd.
