A shooting at a church in Fort Worth, Texas, has left eight people, including the gunman, dead.

Officials say a man shouting obscenities and mocking religion walked into a teen prayer meeting last night and opened fire, before turning the gun on himself.
Six of the victims -- three adults and three teen-agers -- died at the church.
Another died at a hospital.
Seven others are hospitalized, some in critical condition.

Officials also think the gunman may have wired himself with explosives.
They've sent a robot in to search his body.
Authorities have not been able to remove the other bodies from the church because of the possibility of bombs.

Police suspect a bomb is responsible for a blast that shattered a large apartment today in a southern Russian city, killing at least eleven and injuring 165.

More than 300-thousand utility customers in North and South Carolina are without power.
The inland track Floyd is taking puts the Outer Banks in the path of winds from the most severe side of the storm.

Governor Gilmore has put 400 National Guard troops and 650 state troopers on standby.
