The threat of jail is forcing a number of parents owing child support in Pulaski County to open up their wallets.

The parents were ordered to appear in court either yesterday or today to pay- up.
Those who showed WITHOUT money were taken to jail.

But friends and neighbors say the mother of a one-month old baby -- who was found dead in a microwave oven -- is attributing what happened to her own severe epileptic seizure.
NO charges have been filed yet, and NO information on what she's actually told police is available.

The sheriff's department says it's waiting on the exact cause of death to be determined.
But Virginia's Chief Medical Examiner has already said the baby's body had burns consistent with those caused by a microwave.

A sinkhole on Interstate 81 has closed down both southbound lanes tonight.

The six inch hole is located north of mile marker 214 between the Mint Spring interchange at exit 217 and the Greenville interchange at exit 213 in Augusta County.
The area is being excavated -- which has uncovered a hole that is 40 feet across and 28 feet deep.
Truck traffic is being routed off of I-81 onto route 11 between those exits. VDOT officials say both lanes will reopen late Saturday afternoon.
