The Department of Environmental Quality and Henry County have been moving toward taking over the plants ever since officials found fecal coliform bacteria in Blackberry Creek at 160 times the legal limit earlier this month.
Today, Henry County's Public Service authority will begin EXTENSIVE cleanup at the Fairway Acres plant, which they say will take one to two months and about seven-thousand dollars in state money to do.

Henry County is in meetings right now with state agencies to determine if the county will take over LONG-TERM management of the sewage facilities.

It was a stormy night in Virginia and the Carolinas.
A line of thunderstorms passed through Central and southwest Virginia, spawning a possible twister in Patrick County.
It was reported in the Kippler Valley area between Ararat and Stuart and destroyed one mobile home and damaged several barns.

Amherst County officials say more than a dozen roads were closed because of high water.
Residents in the Tanglewood Mobile Home Park in Madison Heights were temporarily isolated by floodwaters.
