Rebels armed with rifles and grenades stormed an Embassy in Bangkok yesterday.
The 14 dissidents were calling for a restoration of democracy in their military ruled homeland, of Burma.
The situation ended with a helicopter flying the armed rebels, with two high ranking Thai officials aboard as a guarantee, to the Thai-Burma border.

An elderly man was shot in Henry County.
77 year -old Ernest Brown Eggleston was shot once in the head and twice in the chest yesterday.
Eggleston was transported to a hospital in Winston Salem. His condition is not known.
Eggleston's nephew, 34 year-old Darryl Carneal Law, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Law now faces five felony charges.

State police say 71- year old Robert Francis (sh-wat-kuh) Schwatka died yesterday when he was thrown through the windshield of his R-V.
He was NOT wearing his seat belt.
Schwatka apparently lost control when a front tire blew out, causing him to strike the median.
His wife was in the passenger seat but was not seriously injured.

Three people were killed... A fourth was seriously injured yesterday morning in a single car accident on Hershberger Road.
All three victims were passengers in the car. They're identified as 22- year- old Donnie Yates, 27- year- old Les Deaner, and 27- year- old Christy Smith.
Police believe 22- year- old Timothy Wayne Sayers was driving the car. Authorities plan to serve him with a warrant for manslaughter once he's released from the hospital.

An accident in Pittsylvania County claimed the life of an elderly Gretna woman. It happened on Route 900 shortly before 6 yesterday evening. State police say 81 year old Ellen Callands died at the scene after her car ran off the road, through a fence, and into a pond.
Police say a medical problem may have contributed to the crash.

The seven-point-five magnitude quake struck Thursday.
Officials say over 38-hundred buildings were damaged.
