Hawkins acknowledged money was missing, but he has always insisted he did everything he could to keep kids boxing- -even to the point of funneling his own money into the program.

He hired a hitman from JAIL to kill his lover's husband.

Thomas Gray is already serving three years in jail for plotting to kill James Martin.
Gray was in love with Martin's wife, Dorothea.
In court, today, he said he used a pay phone in the jail to hire a hitman to complete the crime.
That hitman turned out to be the sheriff. That scotched the plan.
Now Gray may have to serve up to five years behind bars.
Dorothea Martin must spend ten years in prison for her part in the conspiracy.

That's where Rubatex has its corporate offices.
Workers have been striking for more than a month.
Last week Rubatex took out a restraining order ... banning workers from blocking public roads and dropping sharp objects on the ground.
Rubatex says production is still strong, with replacement workers doing the job.
The company began busing those workers to Bedford ... saying otherwise, their safety may be at risk.

It's actually their second suit. The first states the county has no right to stop expansion of their hog farms.


Now, they're seeking 10-million dollars in damages to make up for the loss of income.
The lawsuits come after Supervisors voted to limit the size of hog farms.

A grand jury just outside Richmond has indicted a V-DOT employee and a private contractor .. for the summer sewage spill that's already cost the state highway commissioner his job.

Felony indictments in Goochland County charge the men with failing to follow a sewage lagoon closure plan.
The private contractor's also accused of knowingly discharging sewage into state waters, and then failing to report it -- both felonies.
The incident and another environmental mishap cost V-DOT commmissioner David Gehr (GEAR) his job in August.
