Authorities say the Henry County man found last week was murdered by his cousin.
Now, the man suspected of killing Jose Santos Mora Soto is on the run.

Two of Western Virginia's congressmen are proposing legislation they hope will give satellite dish owners local programming, and help TV stations reclaim some of their viewers.

Students carried signs and chanted the word Unity as they walked through Virginia Tech's campus.
The theme of the march was "One Voice" and everyone from African Americans, to Filipinos, to Caucasians joined in the celebration of diversity.

Authorities say a chemical spill in a Roanoke County creek does not pose a threat to people or the environment.
A contractor was removing a boiler at I-T-T Industries yesterday when a valve was opened, spilling more than 700 gallons of antifreeze spilled into the creek.
I-T-T was told that the solution which spilled into Carvin Creek was about 50 percent water and wasn't dangerous.

You would expect Darell Scott to be angry and bitter, his 17 year old daughter was killed earlier this year by two teen gunman at Columbine High School in Colorado.
But instead Scott is spreading a message of hope and sharing his daughter's testimony of faith with others.

Virginia officials have launched an investigation into a women's prison following complaints of sexual abuse.

Scooters are a popular form of transporation on Lynchburg roads, and now police are looking for ways to make them safer for both the riders and other motorists.

Police say many scooter drivers weave their vehicles in and out of traffic and don't stop for stop signs.
The result has been a large number of accidents in recent months.
Authorities want city council to amend Lynchburg's bicycle ordinance to include mopeds and scooters.

Council will vote tomorrow night.
