The baby may be underweight and have breathing problems after birth. So how much weight is the right amount? The academy recommends women of normal weight gain of about 30 pounds during pregnancy. 22 year old Terry Leon Boyd was arraigned in his hospital bed yesterday.
That's where he's been for the past week.
He allegedly shot himself in the head as police were about to arrest him on an interstate exit ramp in Roanoke County last week.
Boyd is wanted in Washington D-C for the death of his grandmother and another woman.

A virus that's killing deer in Virginia has now spread to about 15 counties.
That's the most widespread the disease has been in Virginia since 1980.
It causes hemorrhaging of the heart and lung muscles in white tail deer.
The disease is transmitted to the deer by a biting fly.
Scientists say the flies may be more plentiful this year because drought conditions provide good breeding grounds for them.
