The search continues tonight off the coast of Massachuesttes for a jetliner that went down early this morning carrying more than 200- passengers.
The majority on board were Americans-- including a group planning to tour Egypt and the Nile.

More than 200 people were aboard EgyptAir Flight 990 when it left New York early Sunday morning -- headed for Cairo. The jetliner took off from Kennedy International airport at 1:19 a.m., but disappeared from radar screens about a half-hour later. Initial reports paint an image of a plane out of control.

"The last radar contact in which the airplane provided altitude data was about 36 seconds later. At that time--the airplane had descended to 19-thousand 100 feet ... a very rapid descent."

In Egypt, grieving relatives have gathered at the Cairo Airport ... where an information center has been established. Similar support is being offered to the victims' families here in the u-s.

The Lynchburg police department is investigating a murder at a convenience store, last night.
It happened at the Stop In on Campbell Avenue.
Police say the suspect walked into the store and shot 26 year old Shawn Ferguson several times in the head.
Ferguson died at the scene.
Police say they do NOT have a motive.
No one's been arrested.

An accident on Interstate 81 claimed the life of a West Virginia woman.

It happened shortly after 10 last night, near the Salem exit.
Police say the driver of a tractor-trailer drifted into the path of a pickup truck.
That's when the pickup veered off the road and flipped several times.
Margaret Smith of Princeton, the passenger in the pickup, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to the hospital.
No word yet on whether charges will be filed against the driver of the tractor-trailer.

Race driver Greg Moore died today from head injuries suffered in a crash 10 laps into today's Cart race in Fontana, California.
The 24-year old Moore lost control in turn two slid into the infield grass crashing head on into a retaining wall.


He's the second driver in the Cart series to die this year.

The couple arrived in a 1934 Hearse which set the mood-- the ring bearer even presented the rings from a miniature coffin.
The wedding party and guests joined the spooky festivities by dressing for the occasion.
