Doctors are looking to another killer to find a solution to cancer.
Researchers from the University of Rochester say a gene in the AIDS virus may kill cancer.
In the lab, the H-I-V gene has killed tumors including colon and cervical cancers.
However, they are warning human testing is still years away.
In that time, the doctors are hoping to develop something that mimics the AIDS gene.
But they say even if they use the gene to fight tumors, it would not give patients AIDS.
