Police say she admitted shooting William Staley, but that it was only after Staley attacked her husband in the parking lot at Valley View.

In Roanoke federal court this morning, a former West Virginia governor's aide pled guilty to trying to have sex with a 13- year- old boy he met on the Internet.

59- year- old Tom Rice admitted driving from his home in Martinsburg, West Virginia to Bedford County to meet the boy at a motel last February.
But when he drove to the school parking lot where they were to meet...he discovered the boy was actually an undercover deputy.
Rice is being held without bond, and will be sentenced January 18th.
He could receive a sentence of up to 15 years, along with a 250- thousand- dollar fine.

Lynchburg police are investigating a weekend fatal shooting at a convenience store.
It happened Saturday night at the Stop In on Campbell Avenue.
Police say the suspect walked into the store and shot 26 year old Shawn Ferguson several times in the head.
Ferguson died at the scene.
Police say they do NOT have a motive and no one's been arrested.

Any presidential candidate that wants their name on the primary ballot in Virginia must submit ten-thousand signatures from throughout the state.

Big plays gave Norv Turner and the Skins an early lead.
On Washington's second play from scrimmage, Brad Johnson hands off to Davis.
He cuts it back across the field and dashes in from 76 yards out, and the Redskins take the lead 7 to nothing with 14-minutes left in the first quarter.
Then, the defense answered some of its critics.
On this play, Bears quarterback Shane Mathews is hit from behind.
The ball pops right into the hands of Dan Wilkinson and "Big Daddy" rolls down the sideline on his way to an 88 yard T-D.
Washington went up 14 to nothing on that play.
Leading 24 to nothing late in the second, Johnson goes to the air and hits Michael Westbrook in the corner of the end zone.
The 13 yard T-D pass made it 31 to nothing Redskins at the half.
