Seachers are scouring a part of Franklin County this morning, looking for a missing minister.

Reverend Quigg Lawrence was hunting yesterday along the Blue Ridge Parkway and never returned home.
About thirty searchers from Lawrence's church, the sheriff's office and National Park Service began scouring the woods near mile marker 140 around one a-m.

Lawrence is the pastor of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Roanoke.

An accident has blocked both southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Roanoke County.
State police say the accident happened shortly before six this morning, at mile marker 137 in the Glenvar area.
A tractor-trailer was involved, but police say no one has been hurt.
The wreck will take some time to clear.
If you're heading southbound on I-81, police are advising motorists to get off the interstate at Exit 140 near Hanging Rock to avoid long traffic backups.

The Reverend Quigg Lawrence never returned home from a hunting trip yesterday along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
But this morning he was located.
Officials say Lawrence hit his head while hunting and became disoriented.
He decided to wait until daylight to find help.

A number of Lawrence's church members along with sheriff's deputies and Park Rangers had been searching for him all night.
Lawrence is the pastor of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Roanoke.

A Roanoke man faces six counts of murder in connection with an apartment fire last year in downtown Roanoke.

Yesterday, the Roanoke grand jury indicted Brian Keith Jackson on one count of arson.
Last month another man, Michael Clements pleaded guilty to arson, admitting he helped by the gasoline that started the blaze.
But he denied he was the one who lit the match.

A man charged with killing a Martinsville woman and her daughter will stay locked up for now.

38-year old Michael Jerome Hairston was denied bail yesterday.
He is charged with two counts of capital murder.
Police say he shot his girlfriend, 36-year-old Eyvonne Hairston, inside her home after an argument just before midnight Friday.
Family members said her 16-year-old her daughter, Melvenna, tried to stop him and was shot three times.
Five other children in the house escaped unharmed.... and are staying with relatives.

Republicans need to pick up just two House of Delegates seats and hold on to their 21- to 19 advantage in the state Senate for control of the state government.
In Roanoke, incumbent State Senator John Edwards is up against political newcomer and Republican William Fralin.
Both have different opinions about their campaigns.
