Today is election day.
Voters across the state will choose a new General Assembly.
But well under half the legislature's 140 seats have both a Democrat and a Republican running for them.
That means it's unlikely that there'll be any big shakeup, although Republicans need only to gain two House of Delegates seats and hold on to their 21-to-19 advantage in the state Senate for undisputed control.

The Academy released an official policy position stating it's time for parents to take a more active role in making sure their children take in more milk and dairy and less soda pop. The recommendation: eight hundred milligrams of calcium a day for youngsters and up to 15 hundred milligrams for preteens and teenagers. Good sources of calcium include milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, cheese and fortified orange juice. ON CAM Also today, are you cooking with gas? A new study says that may not be such a good idea if you have asthma. A study from the University of California says adults who cook on gas stoves are twice as likely to have a severe attack that requires a trip to the emergency room. An electric stove may be a better alternative.

Researchers did a series of walking tests on a group of older people and found using words like diseased and senile, slowed seniors down while words like wise and astute sped them up.
