(( Authorities discovered the bodies of 89- year old Ila Edwards, shown here on the left-- and her 85 year old sister, Inez, after a neighbor called to report that their home was on fire.
According to court documents, 33- year old John D- Cochran, known as J-D, is the man responsible and has been charged with capital murder.

Police say Cochran, who'd known the sisters for a number of years, entered their home and killed both women by striking them on the head before setting the house on fire.
What's unclear is WHY.
At one point-- Cochran was reportedly caught scamming money from the women.
But, for now, police aren't commenting on a motive.
Both women were well-known in the Galax area.
Ila Edwards was a retired school teacher-- her sister, Inez, was a retired nurse. [TAKE STAND UP ]

For the first time ever...British researchers have successfully transplanted cells taken from a male hair follicle....into the arm of a woman...to grow an actual hair... Colin Jahoda/Biologist/Durham University what these cells are doing is they are going into the recipients skin and telling the recipient skin to organize a hair follicle....
Dermatologist Angela Christiano...who does genetic research on balding in mice is hailing it as a breakthrough: Angela Christiano: This study shows for the first time that you can actually take hair follicle cells from one individual and actually transplant them into a second individual who is not immunologically compatible. Dr. Robert Bernstein performs thousands of hair transplants every year. In current procedures the entire follicle is permanently removed from the back of the head..and relocated in the front. Bernstein says today's discovery means people could one day manufacture their own hair cells for transplant..becoming their own donors. Commercial applications for hair cell transplants are a long way off...but for the estimated 30 to 40 million Americans suffering from hair loss and spending billions of dollars to reverse it...it's one of the most promising advances to date.
