((In a 207-page document, District Court Judge Penefield Jackson listed three key findings of fact:
First that Microsoft does have a monopoly in PC operating systems
Second, that is used its power and profit to stop competitors
And as a result, consumers did suffer.

SOT/RICHARD BLOOMENTHAL, CONNECTICUT ATTORNEY GENERAL

Those are serious and far reaching. far reaching remedies.
The Justice Department, along with 19 states, call Microsoft a predator -- illegally using its Windows monopoly to force feed computer users its internet software, all the while crushing its chief rival, Netscape.
But Microsoft denies the charges arguing it no longer has a monopoly, and that consumers were never hurt in the process of a company just trying to compete. Come get Windows 95!
Bill Gates, the company's CEO never appeared at the trial except on video but has vowed to fight the case to the end. And with a personal fortune valued at $75 billion dollars, he has the money to do it. BILL GATES, CEO MICROSOFT, VIDEO FROM MICROSOFT: We hope that fair to consumers.
A final ruling isn't expected for at least another six weeks but if the Judge finds Microsoft violated antitrust law he could impose serious restrictions on the way Microsoft does business, or even force the company to break up. Lee Cowan, CBS News, Washington.))

((DWAYNE STUKES/UVA SENIOR DEFENSIVE BACK:I'M NOT HURT LIKE I WAS LAST YEAR. I'M STILL FOCUSSED. I'M GONNA GO INTO THE GAME THINKING THAT I'M ONE OF THE BEST CORNERBACKS IN THE ACC. LAST YEAR IS FAR OUT OF MY MIND. I KNOW HE BEAT ME A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT I'M NOT GONNA BE THINKING ABOUT THAT ON SATURDAY. I'M THINKING I'M 100 PERCENT AND HE'S 100 PERCENT AND LETS SEE WHO'S GONNA MAKE THE PLAYS.))

The new era of Ricky Stokes basketball started tonight at the Cassell in Blacksburg.
The Hokies got off to a good start as Dennis Mims misses the bucket but Roland Roberts does the clean up act for an early 2 to 2 tie.
Minutes later Brendan Dunlop finds nothing but net as he strokes a three pointer over the Authority defense in an 11 to 3 lead.
But the Authority would come back on their end of the floor as Jason Williford gets the two point bucket.

The Hokies offense continued working all over the floor as Roberts gets the inside edge knocking down the hoop and getting the foul and Tech goes on to win it 80 to 68.
